Why Should I Use Cannabis Oil and Does it Work Well?
September 25, 2018

Does cannabis oil assist with breast cancer? We know it does! We know that cannabis oil can assist with the symptoms of chemotherapy and the progression of cancer itself. This is because we have been following studies being done on cannabis and the oils that are extracted from the plant.

Cannabis Oil Assists With Breast Cancer

The oils contain two of the main cannabinoids found in cannabis: cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Both cannabinoids are very potent medical therapies in their own rights. When used together, they are even more effective. THC loses its psychoactive properties when blended with the non-psychotic CBD which pleases more breast cancer patients who do not like to feel high.

When we are asked whether cannabis oil can assist with breast cancer, we immediately tell our clients that CBD and THC can manage pain, inflammation, anxiety and depression – often symptoms that make the breast cancer worse. CBD is also known to benefit insomnia, lack of appetite, moodiness, metabolism and headaches; it can help treat chronic diseases besides breast cancer like epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, diabetes, heart disease and more.

CBD and THC Alleviate Symptoms of Cancer

Scientists involved in testing CBD and THC against cancer cells have found that CBD can both slow the cancer down and foil damage to the nerves and intense pain caused by chemotherapy. When used in conjunction with chemo, CBD takes the edge off the symptoms of the chemo, allowing the patient a better quality of life. If CBD strengthens the immune system, the breast cancer patient has time to fight the cancer.

There are many anecdotal accounts by breast cancer victims who have risen above the disease using cannabis oils. They are convinced that cannabis oil does assist with breast cancer. There are records of breast cancer patients going into remission with ongoing intake of cannabis oils containing CBD and THC. Some studies suggest that cannabinoids may kill cancer cells and the human body may be programmed to allow the cannabinoids to do so.

THC Can Stop Cancer Spreading

One scientist found that THC can hinder the formation of new blood vessels between tumours allowing them food to grow and move. In addition, the cannabinoids forced cancer cells to commit suicide in a process known as apoptosis.
The human endocannabinoid system (ECS) regulates the innate healthy balance of the body so that everything remains in a state of homeostasis (the immune system, central nervous system and peripheral nervous system). The ECS naturally produces endocannabinoids called anandamide, for example, which is similar to THC in the way it fights cancer cells. Anandamide was found to cause apoptosis in certain cancer cells, just like THC and CBD do.

Cannabinoid Receptors Increase in Cancer Cells

Another significant finding is that there are more cannabinoid receptors in the cancer cells than in healthy cells. Scientists think that this is the body’s way to defend itself against the invasion of cancer cells. The theory goes that as a healthy cell becomes cancerous, it produces more cannabinoid receptors and is then more open to apoptosis by the anandamide.

Cannabis oil does assist with breast cancer as discussed above. When a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, it could be because there is breast cancer in her family and genes, or because of lifestyle circumstances. Every person can take steps to avoid cancer such as eating healthy, wholesome foods in their natural states, avoiding all processed foods and additives, doing plenty of exercise, finding time to meditate and being with family and friends in a loving space.

Does cannabis oil assist with breast cancer? Yes, it can help the patient to alleviate the terrible symptoms associated with the cancer and the treatment such as chemotherapy. CBD and THC work well together to fight cancer cells, forcing them to die and forcing tumours to stop growing and spreading. This can save a breast cancer patient’s life.
